The new Hyundai Stargazer was introduced as an affordable minivan for Asian markets
Hyundai has unveiled the first teaser photos of the new Stargazer, a new, entry-level minivan for markets in Southeast Asia. Trajet’s spiritual successor refers to larger Hyundai Staria designs such as the Toyota Avanza, Mitsubishi Xpander and Suzuki Ertiga.
The front has a full-width LED strip, which is very similar to the Staria, with a split headlight design and a large grille that covers most of the front bumper. At the back, we find modern LED taillights reminiscent of the Hyundai Bayon, which are connected via a thin LED strip under the rear windshield. We can also see the inscription “Star Watcher” on the back cover.

The teasers do not fully reflect the Stargazer’s layout, but spy images have shown that it has relatively small wheels and single-box proportions with aerodynamic windshields. The Stargazer is about 4.5 m long (177 inches) and comes with a three-row cabin with six or seven seats.
Hyundai Stargazer may share its choice of platform and power unit with Kia Carens, which was introduced in India late last year. This only means that the FWD minivan can be offered by Hyundai with 1.5-liter petrol or diesel engines combined with manual or automatic (torque converter / dual clutch) transmission.
The official debut of Hyundai Stargazer is expected next month. The minivan is manufactured in Indonesia, where Hyundai Creta, Santa Fe and Ioniq 5 are also produced. Prices in Indonesia range from Rs 155,000,000-202,000,000 to Rs 10,500-13,600. With the exception of Indonesia, which was the first market to buy Stargazer, local media It is expected to be available in India as well.
