The M5 CS debuted last year as “the fastest and most powerful BMW ever,” and it plans to get a younger brother, the M3 CS.
The model M4 CSL, which is currently being tested in and around Nurburgring, will be a four-door version.
The similarities cannot be ignored, as spy photographers photographed two models standing next to each other. As you can see, each has a processed grid that sells horizontal stripes for a bone-like structure. This is not the only change, as the models have prominent front splits with canaries.

Going back, we can see a carbon fiber roof wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, aerodynamic mirrors and light wheels. The latter are equipped with a high-performance braking system with bronze calibers. Other features include a new rear spoiler and a carbon fiber diffuser.
Although the rear side windows are camouflaged, the M3 CS may not follow in the footsteps of the M4 CSL by removing the rear seats. However, the company can offer two separate rear seats, similar to the M5 CS.
As for the interior, we see that it looks like carbon fiber front seats with two-tone upholstery. The M3 CS is also equipped with a curved display with a 12.3-inch cluster of digital instruments and a 14.9-inch information entertainment system. Of course, this is not surprising, as BMW recently announced that the display will become standard equipment for the M3 and M4 this summer.
In terms of performance, we have about 533 hp. We expect an improved twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine (397 kW / 540 hp). Although this number should be taken with a grain of salt, it is 503 hp. (375 kW / 510 PS) would be a significant improvement over the existing M3 Competition.
