The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R receives a 5.2-liter charged Predator V8

After months of speculation, several leaked photos seem to confirm that the Predator V8 will be the engine of choice for the long-awaited Ford F-150 Raptor R. While we expect official data from Ford itself, this engine is capable of overtaking RAM TRX in terms of horsepower.

Many previous reports have suggested that the V8 will eventually be under the hood of the new F-150 Raptor R. What is unknown is exactly what the V8 Ford is for the new animal. Theories about the new V8, or Predator V8, have undergone major changes, but now they are all dead like dinosaurs.

These two leaked photos from Raptor Connection Instagram show both the engine in the Ford and the official assembly rotation sheet. In the first message uploaded three days ago, we see a build sheet with the words Raptor C and 5.2L. Cody, the guy at the forefront of his Instagram account, confirmed to Carscoops that he had no doubt that the photos were a real deal.

This 5.2-liter engine will be the Predator V8 with 760 horsepower in the Shelby GT500 Mustang. While we don’t know the state of the art for this Raptor R, the RAM is a 702 hp made by a highly charged V8 at 1500 TRX. more power.

At this initial stage, there is no way to know what Ford plans to pay for the F-150 Raptor R. However, we can confirm some information. First, the engine used for the Shelby GT500 is actually part of the performance that can be found on Ford’s personal website.

It costs $ 27,295 there, so the Raptor R could be close to the TRX price of about $ 70,000 or more. Second, we are confident that the new Raptor R will be hard to find close to the MSRP, despite the Ford CEO’s warning against the amendments.
