The 2022 CNG option is not planned for the Hyundai Venue
There were rumors about the CNG version of the 2022 Hyundai Venue, but all of them were stopped by Tarun Garg.
2022 Hyundai Venue has been launched, but the CNG version is not recommended. A few weeks ago, there were reports that Hyundai might consider offering a CNG power unit in a compact SUV. However, these reports were meaningless after Tarun Garg, Hyundai India’s director of sales, marketing and service, confirmed that he would not expand his CNG portfolio beyond the Grand i10 Nios and Aura.

No CNG for 2022 Hyundai Venue
Speaking to Car Blog India, Tarun Garg said those looking for lower operating costs were already opting for diesel options, so CNG could not be powered by SUVs. He also confirms that more than 23% of Wayne buyers choose the diesel option. This makes it clear that diesel is still not the best choice for consumers looking for a venue. However, it should be noted that people have a choice of turboprop with the place of sale. This means that people looking for performance do not necessarily have to drive diesel, especially after a certain number of years to own diesel cars.

There are options to choose from 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT transmission. With so many engine and gearbox combinations, we understand the car manufacturer’s decision not to offer the CNG version. In addition, the CNG power unit can make a compact SUV feel weak due to its unique characteristics. Therefore, the decision not to offer the CNG version seems to be justified.
