Unfortunate incidents keep happening on roads every day and this is yet another addition to that undesirable list.

In a horribly tragic turn of events, a Tata Nexon EV driver somehow runs over a kid. Indian roads are full of horrifying accidents and this certainly qualifies as one. As the number of cars on our roads increases, we are witnessing innumerable crashes as well. We already know that hundreds of thousands of lives are lost on the roads each year. That is just a by-product of so many cars and disregard for traffic regulations. For now, let us get into the details of this latest case.

Tata Nexon EV Driver Runs Over Kid

This incident emerges from Nikhil Rana on YouTube. This channel often uploads content around road accidents and safety. On this occasion, a rather chilling visual appears. As per the information in the video, this case emerged from the Sparsh Villa Society in Mehsana, Gujarat. Reportedly, a 4-year-old girl was cycling inside the colony. The visuals showcase the Tata Nexon EV arriving from the front. Looking at the car, the girl panics and tries to steer her bicycle away from the car.

Unfortunately, she loses her balance and falls in front of the car. For some reason, the driver of the Nexon EV didn’t spot her and crushed her and the bicycle with his car. After getting a jerk due to the cycle and the car under the wheels, he comes to a standstill. He comes out of the car to see the girl under the EV. A few onlookers arrive at the scene as well. The report in the video states that the girl lost her life on the spot. This is as tragic as it gets. The unsuspecting little girl passed away due to the seemingly careless behaviour of the driver.

Our View

Looking at the CCTV footage, it is hard to point out a reason why the driver would not slow down. The only logical explanation is that he was not paying attention on the road. The speed of the car and the bicycle is extremely slow. Also, the girl appears right in front of the car. There is no reason to think that the driver would not see her. Only if the driver’s eyes were not on the road could he have missed the girl. Let us hope that a thorough investigation takes place to uncover the truth.
