Rimac has invested $ 536 million to develop its technology business

When Rimac Nevera set a world production record for a quarter of a mile last year, it did a lot of advertising. What many fans may not be aware of is that in addition to the Bugatti Rimac, the Rimac group includes Rimac Technology, an independent subsidiary of the brand that manufactures high-performance electrical components for other OEM devices. Now an investment of $ 536 million will help further improve this business.

reported CNBC, Rimac Technology already has a high profile list of customers, including Ferrari, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and Renault. In addition, both Porsche and Hyundai have previously invested in the brand. With such rapid growth, Rimac Technology sought this additional capital to keep pace.

Now the bulk of the $ 536 million investment will go directly to the technology business, with about 700 new employees being hired. The company is also building a new headquarters in Zagreb, Croatia.

Accordingly Electrician, Matt Rimak himself showed the impact of the deal: “Rimak has ambitious growth plans for the next few years and we are grateful for the support of important new investors. We strive to rapidly expand the Group, create new production processes to meet global automotive demand, attract 700 talented team members in 2022, open new offices in several parts of Europe and expand our new production facilities on and off campus. Our expert investors will be an invaluable guide in this unexplored territory.

“I would also like to personally thank all our staff, because without their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm for Rimac, we would not be here today.” Rimak says the company is “basically doubling every one and a half to two years,” which is good for its future.

Such a strong focus on the technological side of the business can be an important step towards greater success. Just last year, Rimac established a new partnership with Bugatti and Porsche and is ready to deliver its Nevera to its first customer in a few weeks.
