The most successful MPV in the country in this segment is long overdue for a facelift in real life. However, digital artists are not bound by any limitations.
The Maruti XL6 facelift has been created by a digital automobile artist with a fascia of the Grand Vitara. The latest design language from Maruti Suzuki products is commonly seen on cars like the Fronx and Grand Vitara. The XL6 is a slightly more premium iteration of the Ertiga. But in essence, both these are similar cars. The latter is among the most successful MPVs in the country. It finds application among private buyers, as well as commercial fleet operators. For now, let us experience the Maruti XL6 facelift in the virtual realm.
Maruti XL6 Facelift Imagined
The details of this case emerge from malvinwsetiawan on Instagram. Note that the artist calls it the XL7. That is the nomenclature of the XL6 in the South-East Asian markets. This particular model is Indonesian. At the front, the first thing you will notice is the similarity with the Grand Vitara. There are multi-pod LED DRLs on the bonnet connected by a black belt, the radiator grille is massive and bears a distinct design pattern, the main headlamp cluster is located on the extreme edges of the bumper, and the lower section contains a rugged component which elevates the sporty nature of the MPV.
On the sides, there is a resemblance with the existing XL6. This includes handy and solid roof rails, black side pillars, black ORVMs and door handles, and a black side body skirting with massive wheel arches. I particularly like the elegant alloy wheels and the quarter glass area with a wraparound taillamp. The length and appearance of the XL6 still remain the same. Nevertheless, the Grand Vitara fascia looks, somehow, in place on the XL6. Who knows, we might actually get something like this in real life too.
Our View
I appreciate the display of creativity digital artists often possess. Their talent and skills help us experience a vehicle we see every day in a different light altogether. In some sense, this breaks the monotony and aids us to expand our horizons a little. Also, some digital renditions are so realistic that we might actually see some aspects of them on the real model. I am more inclined towards such illustrations which are not over-the-top. That is what makes this virtual avatar special.
