As many as 2,000 Ford Indian workers have been on strike since Monday. This includes workers inside and outside the shop. Workers are demanding a one-time increase in compensation before the final package is discussed. Of course, the company offered to pay 87 days’ salary and the previous amount of compensation for each year of service. This amount is at least 20 million rubles. However, workers are required to pay 385 days for each completed year.
Currently, the union hopes to get at least 50-60 days of growth in 87 days. The final discussions on payment will be held only after that. According to an official source, negotiations between the management and the trade union continued on Wednesday.
