Mercedes-Benz models of the 80s and 90s are notorious for their small size, but this has changed completely as the German tuning house Koenig has achieved something.

This is, in particular, for sale 1989 560 SEC Koenig Car, the odometer has only 20,893 km (12,982 miles). It is also one of the nearly 100 originals created by Koenig himself, and most of the later models are modifications.

If it’s not already clear, this car, as well as many other Koenig models, is a wild body kit. Both the front and rear boxes have wide fan box lights, and especially the rear has a corner that doesn’t look too much like the Ferrari Testarossa’s rear pillars. In the sedan version of this car, the 560 SEL Koenig, these wings even had side hooks like the Italian supercar.

Returning to this car, the body kit includes new bumpers and side skirts, a rear spoiler, new hoods and a Koenig logo. The sale also includes an additional grille that matches the color of the car and bears the Koenig Specials “KS” logo instead of the Mercedes star. We think that the original of the individual grille looks better (maybe it is in the car), but the fact that the color matches, of course, corresponds to the wild nature of the body kit.
