The 2024 Nissan Leaf has been redesigned and priced at $ 400

Nissan introduced the new Leaf earlier this year, and now the company has announced that the model will start at $ 27,800.

Priced at $ 400, the 2024 Leaf is equipped with a new front fascia, trim grille and updated headlights. They have been redesigned wheels, updated upholstery and a new Nissan logo.

Although the changes in style were limited, the Leaf line was reduced from five cuts to two. The initial version will be the 40 kW / h Leaf S, which is equipped with four speaker audio systems, cruise control and 16-inch steel wheels. Buyers will also find electric windows and locks, as well as an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Regardless of the low level of equipment, the Leaf S includes a range of driver assistance systems such as automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking and blind spot warning, as well as blind spot intervention. Buyers can also find a warning of rear horizontal movement, intelligent lane interference, and a high-beam assistant. They include an intelligent collision warning, a rear view monitor and a rear door warning.

Motivation 147 hp (110 kW / 149 PS) and a 236 pound-foot (320 Nm) torque-powered electric motor. It is powered by the above-mentioned 40 kWh battery pack and allows this model to have an estimated EPA range of 149 miles (240 km) per charge.

If that’s not enough, consumers can upgrade to the Leaf SV Plus version with a larger 60kWh battery. It has a range of 212 miles (341 km) as well as 214 hp. (160 kW / 217 PS) and boasts an electric motor that emits 250 pound-feet (339 Nm) of torque.

Unfortunately, these improvements are expensive, as the larger model starts at $ 35,800, which is $ 400 more than last year’s version. This is a significant jump from the Leaf to the beginner level, but the SV Plus comes with additional equipment, including LED lighting fixtures, heated exterior mirrors and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Upon entering the cabin, there are heated front seats and an octagonal electric driver’s seat. Customers will also find six speaker audio systems, GPS navigation and NissanConnect services. Other highlights include Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Around View Monitor, auto-dimming rearview mirror and ProPILOT Assist.

The 2023 Nissan Leaf is now coming to U.S. dealers and it will have to contend with the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt, which has a range of 259 miles (417 km) and a starting price of $ 26,595. However, it should be noted that when Leaf was in place, Bolt was no longer eligible for a $ 7,500 federal tax credit.
