Vlogger Drives Tata Nexon EV Thru Flooded Road

As the season of the monsoon grips the nation, instances of people having to drive through heavy water logging are emerging.

A Tata Nexon EV was being driven through the flooded water by a YouTuber. In the last few days, we have been witnessing extreme weather conditions in various parts of the country due to excessive rainfall. However, people often disregard the warning signs and end up driving through knee-deep water just for some fun. Apart from that, YouTubers perform such stupid activities to boast to their followers and create viral content. This seems like one such case. Let us dive into the details here.

Tata Nexon EV Thru Flooded Water

This post comes from Laxman Yadav on YouTube. It captures the entire incident of the YouTuber driving a Tata Nexon EV on the roads of Rajasthan. Due to heavy rainfall, the roads are filled with large quantities of water. In fact, the vlogger even shows cars and buses broken down on the streets. Still, just to create viral content, he ends up making his friend drive the electric car in the water. They are manoeuvring the car to and fro and even performing U-turns. I must mention that it is extremely dangerous since the visibility is zero.

There is no way to know if there are any obstacles under the water. On top of that, driving a car in deep water for extended periods of time could cause the water to seep in and damage the components. Sure, the EV batteries are fitted in a sealed space. Still, there is no point in risking the health of an electric car. We have seen numerous cases where vehicles get stuck due to the water and the electronics malfunction. Therefore, it is always a prudent idea to minimize the time spent in water.

Our View

Unfortunately, I have seen multiple cases of people attempting such idiotic acts just to create traction on their content on social media. They don’t think twice before going for such activities. People can try to imitate them, which could lead to horrible situations on the roads. Each year, we lose thousands of lives during the monsoon season as cars get washed away in flooded waters. Hence, we must make sure that we stay away from such cases. Stay safe and don’t drive in water unless extremely urgent.
