The 8-seater Land Rover Defender 130 will debut on May 31

After years of leaks, rumors, espionage and speculation, Land Rover Defender 130 debuted on May 31. The longer body style version of the Defender will be above 90 and 110, offering extra space for this. up to eight passengers.

The teaser is shown in the photo in 4 × 4 natural environment, on sand dunes. While the sand hides most of the profile, we can clearly see the extra length of the roof and the rear side window. Presumably, most of the Defender 130’s body panels share the rest of the Defender range, but it does come with an extended wheelbase and a longer rear clearance, as shown in previous spy photos and leaked patent photos.

The car in the picture has white accents combined with silver accents and five-chain alloy wheels. The length of the SUV is expected to be 5100 mm (200.8 inches), which is longer than the five-door Defender 110 by 342 mm (13.5 inches) and the three-door Defender 90 by 777 mm (30.6 inches) longer.

Land Rover tried to find out the details, but confirmed that Defender 130 will have eight seats in the 2-3-3 scheme. In our opinion, the additional length increases the foot space for the second and third rows, as well as the load space. The engine chain can be shared with the rest of the Defender range, including 518 hp. (386 kW / 525 PS) and 5.6-liter V8 High Defender V8 with 846 Nm (625 lb-ft) of torque.

Order books for Defender 130 will open on Tuesday, May 31. This is earlier than the August 2022 announcement by Land Rover CFO Adrian Mardell last year, but the latter may also apply to first deliveries. new model.
