The electric mid-size coupe SUV is the most affordable EV with this body silhouette in the country.
The first customer review of the recently launched Tata Curvv EV is online. Curvv is a coupe SUV which Tata Motors has launched to democratize this design. That is, in fact, the most attractive aspect of the Currv, both in ICE and electric avatars. The EV revolution has really picked up in our market in the last few years. Tata Motors is the sole leader when it comes to EV sales. Its Nexon EV is the highest-selling electric car in the country. With the Curvv EV, the Indian auto giant wants to cater to those customers who want slightly more luxury than the Nexon EV. Let us take a look at the details of this ownership review video.
Tata Curvv EV First Customer Review
The details of this post come from Sameerfication on YouTube. The YouTuber has the Tata Curvv EV owner with him. The latter has driven from Ludhiana (Punjab) to Delhi to share his ownership experience and also test the EV on a long drive. Firstly, the owner mentions that he is impressed by the appearance, features and performance of the car. This is particularly true for its rear profile with the sloping roof. In terms of range, he has been able to derive around 425 km on a single charge with regular usage. Under hard acceleration, the range can drop further. Also, with the highest level of regeneration, the driver can do one-pedal driving where the car comes to a complete standstill on its own.
He even tested the ADAS capabilities of the Tata Curvv EV and is immensely satisfied with the performance. Not only that, there are two chargers with the EV and he has even used the fast DC public charger. He is satisfied with every method. Sitting at the rear, he confirms that there is enough headroom despite the coupe silhouette. Even 3 people can sit abreast comfortably. Finally, he mentions that the technology features like voice commands work perfectly. He even demonstrates these using Hindi, English and Hinglish commands. All in all, the owner is mighty impressed by the electric coupe SUV.
Our View
Now it is great to see a car-enthusiastic owner of the Tata Curvv EV happy and satisfied with his new purchase. He clearly mentions that you need to learn to drive in such a manner so that you can squeeze out maximum range from the EV. It is like driving a regular car to get the maximum mileage. Also, the use of technological amenities like ADAS should be supervised. It is not a substitute for the driver, but simply to aid the driver. I have been reporting about cases of people abusing ADAS functions in their cars for a while now. We shall be on the lookout for more ownership reviews after a longer duration in the future.
