Yesterday, BMW introduced the M4 CSL solid version, which is more powerful and lighter than the regular M4. The Bavarian carmaker is expected to take it to Nürburgring, where it set an all-time record among BMW series cars with an impressive 7 ′ 20,206-inch torque.
The car was driven by BMW developer driver and European touring champion Jörg Weidinger. The official lap time was 7 ′ 20,206 inches for the full length of 20,832 km (12.9 miles) and 7 ′ 15,677 inches for the 20,600 km (12.8 miles) short distance.
This track-oriented M4 is 2.9 seconds faster than the 2019 Jaguar XE SV Project 8, which won the title of the fastest car in the mid-segment in the Nurburgring Nordshleif. It is also 6.6 seconds faster than the larger and more powerful 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic + and 9.6 seconds faster than the 2021 Porsche Panamera Turbo. Finally, if we compare it with the Italian opponent, the lap time was 16.3 seconds faster than the 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, but the untested Giulia GTAm would be a better competitor.
