YouTubers often adopt the method of drag racing to compare the performance of two motorcycles in a straight line.
This drag race between the RE Guerrilla 450 and KTM Duke 250 showcases some intriguing results. Now this might seem like an unfair race. The difference between the engine capacities of these two motorcycles is huge. Still, KTM is known for creating performance bikes which are well capable of punching above their weight. On the other hand, the Guerrilla 450 is meant for comfortable highway cruises and not necessarily for exquisite performance. These characteristics of the two bikes suggest that we could have a fighting race. Let us take a look at the details.
RE Guerrilla 450 vs KTM Duke 250 Drag Race
This video emerges from Abhay biker on YouTube. He takes the KTM Duke 250, while his companion rides the RE Guerrilla 450. On the count of three, the two riders accelerate hard. The Duke 250 lags behind from the beginning as the Guerrilla takes the lead. The power advantage of the Guerrilla ensured that it stayed ahead for the entire duration of the race. In the middle, the rider of the Guerrilla even waited for the Duke 250 and let is go ahead. Still, it was able to catch up and overtake it after a while. A similar trend occurred in the second round. The Guerrilla started with the lead and maintained it until the end of the race. It is clear that the winner of this race was the RE Guerrilla 450.
RE Guerrilla 450 vs KTM Duke 250 Specs Comparison
The RE Guerrilla 450 comes with a 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC 4-valve Sherpa engine which generates a healthy 40.02 PS @8,000 RPM and 40 Nm @5,500 RPM of peak power and torque. Our View
I have reported countless instances of YouTubers posting drag race videos between popular motorcycles. However, I would like to caution our readers to not try these stunts yourself. These can turn ugly within no time. YouTubers often adopt safety methods behind the scenes which the viewers are not always aware of. Therefore, you must not make the mistake of imitating them. Also, we know that motorcycles are not ridden in this manner on a daily basis. Hence, beyond a certain point, there is not much sense in such competitions.
