Next-Gen Hyundai Aura Imagined – Ready to Take on New Dzire?

The compact sedan segment is dominated by the Maruti Dzire but Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze are worthy rivals.

An automobile artist has created this compelling digital rendition of the next-gen Hyundai Aura. Aura has been a successful product from the Korean carmaker in India. It finds application among private buyers, as well as commercial fleet operators. First launched in 2020, Aura is the sedan iteration of the Grand i10 Nios. This is a trend that we see on the Swift and Dzire as well. Coming back to the Aura, it has not been upgraded for a long time now. That is why a famous digital artist decided to demonstrate his own creativity and devise this illustration.

Next-Gen Hyundai Aura Imagined

The details of this case emerge from SRK Designs on YouTube. The visuals showcase the Aura in a slightly new avatar. In all honesty, I feel it still resembles the existing Aura a lot. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. At the front, it gets redesigned headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a modern bumper section with fog lamp units on the edges and a large radiator grille in the centre. The bonnet is smooth without any contours. On the sides, the black roof and side pillars enable the floating-roof effect. Also, the alloy wheels look too large for this compact sedan but the black side body cladding gives a hint of sportiness. There is a chrome belt around the windows. Interestingly, it gets the flush-fitting door handles. All in all, I feel this is quite a realistic virtual concept.

Note that the next-gen version of the Maruti Dzire is on its way. We have reported about its spy images and videos on multiple occasions. Judging by what the 4th generation Swift comes with, the Dzire will have a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine which will produce a decent 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque. Performing the transmission duties is either a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic gearbox. The main attraction will be the mileage. In Swift, it returns a fuel economy of 24.8 km/l with the manual and 25.75 km/l with the automatic.

On the other hand, even the next generation avatar of the Honda Amaze will launch in India soon. In fact, it will be based on an entirely new platform. Note that the second generation model was launched in India in 2018 and hasn’t received any major updates till now. Therefore, the next-gen version should ideally be much modified in comparison. It will use the same platform as the City and Elevate. The powertrain options will be carried over from the current model but the interior and exterior will be different. Exciting times are approaching in this segment.
