Tata CURVV has been showcased earlier and the official launch of the electric version is slated for August 7.
In the latest video, the boot space of the upcoming Tata CURVV was clearly visible. CURVV will be the first coupe SUV from the Indian automobile giant for the mass market. You must have come across this body type among the luxury carmakers. Hence, this will be a great opportunity for the regular folks to own something so striking. The sloping roofline elevates the road presence of the CURVV multifold which is what will be its biggest attraction. Let us take a look at the details of this case here.
Boot Space of Tata CURVV
This video comes from Prateek Singh on YouTube. The visuals capture an undisguised Tata CURVV from the tail section. The driver opens the electronically operated tailgate. It unveils a decent amount of luggage capacity. Sure, one can’t judge the exact space inside the boot through such visuals. Still, it looks decent enough for people to carry the luggage of the entire family on long journeys. Finally, the man pushes the button which closes the boot lid automatically. This is a function which you will find on high-end luxury cars.
The second part of the visuals showers a glimpse of the inside of the car. The cabin bears a modern layout with things like a digital instrument cluster, a Harrier-like steering wheel with illumination, a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, a new HVAC control panel, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, ADAS, and more. What I like about the Tata CURVV is the fact that the buyers get to choose between electric, petrol and diesel engine options. In the ICE versions, it will get manual and automatic transmission alternatives. Hence, people will have the option of going for the trim as per their needs.
Our View
Tata Motors was marked absent from the highly popular mid-size SUV segment of our market. Vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara have been dominating this space for a long time now. I am intrigued to see how the CURVV fares on the sales charts in this space. It won’t be easy to challenge the popularity of the aforementioned SUVs. Still, the distinct appearance, modern features and multiple powertrain options might be enough to woo the potential customers.
