The heavily camouflaged version has commenced testing on the roads ahead of the official launch.
The new Mahindra XUV700 facelift was recently spied testing on the Indian roads. We know that the XUV700 is the flagship model on sale from the Indian auto giant. It has done incredibly well since it was first launched in our market back in 2021. It redefined how luxurious cars Mahindra can make. The SUV offers tons of ultra-modern amenities and high-quality materials for the interior. In fact, it still remains one of the most feature-loaded vehicles in its class. Nevertheless, Mahindra is readying the updated iteration of the flagship 7-seat SUV. The first glimpses of the large SUV have surfaced.
New Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Spotted Testing
This video arrives from kuttykarthi_vlog on Instagram. The visuals capture the heavily camouflaged SUV plying on the road. Someone travelling ahead of the SUV records a video. At the front, we are able to decipher that it will get LED DRLs on the bonnet while the main LED headlamp cluster is positioned on the extreme edges of the bumper down below. This is a modern trend that is being adopted by a lot of carmakers. The sporty bumper and grille silhouette is also somewhat apparent. I feel this design language will make the SUV look broad.
On the sides, the alloy wheel design is neatly concealed under the camo. Still, we are able to see the flush-fitting door handles and LED turn indicators on the ORVMs. This video even showcases the rear section. Here, the SUV gets a prominent roof-mounted rear spoiler and a shark fin antenna. However, the most clear element has to be the sharp LED taillamps. Interestingly, I don’t recognize too much difference from the existing model. Down below, the bumper looks sporty and there are C-shaped reflector lights to elevate the sportiness. All in all, the SUV will bear some aesthetic customizations even though the overall stance will remain the same.
Our View
I don’t believe we will observe any changes to the powertrain options. It already gets immensely powerful engines, both in petrol and diesel guises. Also, the manual and automatic transmission options will continue. However, we will definitely see the addition of even more convenience, comfort and tech features. That will ensure that the SUV is able to compete against the increasing rivals and keep the potential buyers excited. I shall keep an eye out for future updates in this regard.
