It is simply fascinating to witness what some car owners end up doing for unknown reasons.
In a rather shocking turn of events, a Maruti WagonR owner installed the hard top like the Mahindra Thar. This is definitely something I have never seen before. Indians are known for being extremely creative with aftermarket car modifications. In the last few years, I have observed that the trend of automobile customization is gaining massive momentum. However, not all modifications make sense. Sometimes, people do them just for fun or to create viral content to grow their audience. In any case, we are able to experience unique visuals. This latest case is a perfect example of that.
Maruti WagonR with Thar’s Hard Top
The details of this post originate from knowledgeacquisition on Instagram. The video captures the Stingray version of the Maruti WagonR with a rather unique setup. Someone driving behind the hatchback has recorded the entire saga. The WagonR owner has installed a hard top at the back. This gives it a bizarre silhouette. The entire section behind the front door bears a completely strange setup. I fail to understand what the owner was thinking with this configuration. I must admit I have never seen anything like this before.
If I were to venture a guess, it is possible that the owner wanted to create viral content around his car. That is an approach that a lot of people adopt to grow their social media followers. They keep uploading content around bizarre modifications to get the attention of social media users. However, this can lead to people following them blindly. I must mention that most car modifications are illegal in India. Therefore, if you imitate such car owners, you could get in trouble with the laws.
Our View
I have been reporting about tons of cases where car owners just go to any extent to gain followers and traction. They often adopt the practice of customizations. Also, modern car shops have access to spare parts from all over the globe. Hence, they are able to transform any vehicle into just about any other car. As a result, content around car customization is extremely popular on the internet. Social media platforms are full of such video clips. In any case, I don’t recommend anyone to perform such activities.
