Design and Dimensions
The two SUVs are totally different in terms of external appearance. The Mahindra Thar Roxx is a hardcore off-roading machine with a retro-jeep demeanour. At the front, it gets a large new grille, round LED headlamps with LED DRLs, colossal fenders with LED lights, and a dual-tone bumper with LED fog lamps. On the sides, the extended length (in comparison to the 3-door Thar) comes to the surface. I really like the 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with massive wheel arches. At the rear, the styling is almost similar to the 3-door version. On the other hand, the XUV700 looks slightly more premium and refined. That makes sense since it caters primarily to city dwellers. The striking LED headlamps, long bonnet, stylish alloy wheels, LED taillamps, sporty bumper, etc., are the main attractions. Hence, both these are completely different in their purpose.

Our View
Both these SUVs are immensely capable in their own rights. I believe choosing between these two depends on personal preference and application. If you are an avid off-roader who loves to explore unchartered terrains frequently, opting for the Mahindra Thar Roxx makes a lot of sense. It even ensures that there is enough space for the luggage even if the family is travelling along. However, we must wait for the prices of the top variants before making a concrete decision. On the other hand, if you are a city resident and go for off-roading excursions only rarely, the XUV700 is a better choice. In any case, you can’t go wrong with either of these compelling propositions.
