The upcoming Tata Punch rival is making the headlines as even digital artists get drawn to it
The much-awaited Kia Clavis/Syros SUV borrows elements from the latest international electric models from Kia in this latest rendering. Interestingly, the Korean auto giant has trademarked both names in India – Clavis and Syros. However, it is unclear which one it will go with eventually. In recent times, we have spotted this micro SUV wrapped in heavy camouflage on multiple occasions. That is where the inspiration to create enticing virtual renditions stems from. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case.
Kia Clavis/Syros SUV Rendering
This rendition arrives from Autoweek and bears an ultra-modern design theme. If you look at the front fascia, you will instantly recognize the inspiration. In the international market, Kia launched the EV3 electric SUV a few months ago. That is exactly what the front profile of this rendition looks like. There are sleek 7-shaped LED DRLs encapsulating the LED headlamps. Between these, you will see a large section where you would find grilles in traditional ICE cars. However, here, this section is sealed off, representing its electrical identity.
However, in the test mules, we have seen slightly different LED DRLs and the front section. Hence, it becomes clear that this is a virtual illustration by the artist which looks close to the EV3. On the sides, there are a lot of similarities including squarish wheel arches will aero alloy wheels and sturdy roof rails. The boxy silhouette is visible from the sides. Under its hood, you would find petrol and diesel engines, much similar to the Sonet or Exter. However, we might even have this new vehicle with powertrains like the Hyundai Exter. Needless to say, Kia will equip it with the latest tech and convenience amenities to pamper the customers.
Our View
Kia is an immensely popular carmaker in India. This is proven by the fact that it recently breached the milestone of becoming the fastest carmaker to reach 1 million (10 lakh) domestic sales. It completed this task in a mere 59 months. Evidently, people have taken a prominent liking to Kia cars. With the upcoming Kia Clavis/Syros, the Korean car marque aims to further enhance its accessibility among a wider range of potential customers due to lower pricing in comparison to other Kia cars. Let us keep an eye out for more details regarding this SUV.
