Hoonipigasus is a 1400 HP Porsche 911 Pikes Peak racing car from Ken Block.

Racer Ken Block and Huonigan presented the latest race car created by the racing department BBi Autosport. Hoonipigasus, as they say, is based on a vintage 911, but a mid-mounted 1400 hp. engine, extreme aeroero and a distinctive pink livery that honors Porsche’s past racing track.

The PPO (Pikes Peak Open) race car is rated at 1,400 hp. The twin-turbocharged four-liter engine is equipped with six flat engines. Most importantly, it powered all four wheels through the AWD system and moved from the rear to the middle. The total weight is limited to only 1000 kg (2205 lbs), and the Chorizo transmission tunnel reduces the center of gravity. As for the suspension, it is adjusted in height based on GPS data, using telemetry for last year’s race.

Apparently, the 911 case has received major modifications that better fit the new role. The large front splitter and large rear wing capture all the strength needed for a Pikes Peak race. They are combined with ultra-wide front and rear wings, a Beetle-like cut-off tail, a ceiling-mounted air intake, an additional duck spoiler, as well as a set of monoblock racing wheels mounted on wide Toyo tires.

Liverpool was created by Andrew Troble, a former Olympic snowboarder, musician and street artist known as Guccigost. Its design is inspired by the stunning “Pig Pig” livery from a 1971 Porsche 917/20 Le Mans with black and white graphics in pink, as well as the red Pegasus logo of Mobil 1, the main sponsor.

Ken Block said, “Climbing Peaks is one of the main reasons I’m a rally driver. I have many heroes on my list of drivers who have competed and won on this hill: Walter Rohrl, Ari Vatanen, Michelle Mutton, Sebastian Loeb and Rod Millen. I always wanted to be able to compete at the highest level on Pikes Peak and fight for the overall victory. ” Note that this will not be the first run of the Block at Pike Peak, as in its debut race year in 2005, it raced in a Group N rally and in 2017 filmed Climbkhana: Pikes Peak. BBi Autosport took eight podiums and won the race by five points.

Hoonipigasus will debut its 100th anniversary at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 26, 2022. The goal is to be the first in the overall standings in a role described by Ken Block as the “worst 911”.
