The launch of the coupe SUV is slated for August 7 but the vehicle has already been officially unveiled.
Tata CURVV is visible clearly in red colour in this image before the imminent launch. CURVV is a coupe SUV which aims at democratizing this body type among the masses. Until now, this silhouette had been reserved for ultra-premium luxury cars alone. However, the Indian auto giant wants to change that by giving an opportunity to the mass buyers to own a unique product. It goes without saying that a vehicle like the Tata CURVV will boast a distinct road presence which will make heads turn. Let us take a look at the details here.
Tata CURVV Ahead of Launch
A sporty colour like red elevates the road presence of this coupe SUV multifold. In this image, the rear profile is evident. It bears that sloping roofline which culminates into the bootlid. There is a connected LED strip which joins the LED taillamps, a rugged skid plate, a unique roof-mounted spoiler, a shark fin antenna and a bulky tail section. This image even showcases the colossal wheel arches with elegant alloy wheels, chrome window surrounds and flush-fitting door handles on the sides. All in all, the stance of this SUV will be unlike anything we have on sale today in the mass market category.
The coupe SUV will offer the latest tech and convenience features to entice new customers. Some of the top highlights include Level 2 ADAS Active Safety Package, iRA Connected Car Tech Amenities with 55 Features, 12.3-inch Touchscreen Display by Harman, Voice Assisted Sunroof with Natural Light Control, 6-Way Adjustable Front Seats, 360-Degree Camera, All Four Disk Brakes, 6 Airbags, Ventilated Front Seats, Front and Rear Type C Charger (45 W), ESP with Driver Drowsiness Alert and much more.
Specs
On August 7, we will witness the electric avatar of the Tata CURVV. While the official information is not out yet, I suspect it could borrow the powertrain from the Nexon EV. In addition to that, the petrol and diesel variants will be launched almost a month thereafter. Those will bear engine and transmission options from the ICE Nexon. However, there will be the addition of a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder direct injection turbo petrol engine which will generate 125 hp and 225 Nm of peak power and torque. All engines will give the buyers the alternative to choose between either a manual or an automatic transmission.
