Renault has teamed up with Amazon Music to offer streaming services to consumers as part of a free download.
Owners of new Renault models in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and France are offering free access to the carmaker’s Amazon Music Unlimited app for six months, equipped with the latest OpenR Link information entertainment system. The Amazon Music app is also available as a free download through the My Renault mobile app.
Existing Prime members can access 2 million songs without a membership fee, but Amazon Music Unlimited will expand it to more than 90 million songs. Consumers also have free access to some of the best playlists and stations.

The partnership with Amazon coincides with the release of the French brand Renault Megane E-Tech, supplemented by a new information entertainment system OpenR Link.
After the six-month offer expires, Renault owners will have to pay £ 9.90 ($ 12.10) per month to retain their Amazon Music Unlimited membership.
The Renault Megane E-Tech was unveiled at the Munich Motor Show last year. It is based on the new CMF-EV platform shared by the French automaker Nissan Ariya and has 129 hp. and 184 pound-feet (250 Nm) or 215 hp. and is available with a single 221-pound (300) electric motor. Nm) configurations.
The power supply of the electric motor is a lithium-ion NMC battery from LG, available in 40 kW / h and 60 kW / h configurations. The smaller version of these two batteries offers a range of 186 miles (299 km) WLTP, while the 60 kW / h version is suitable for a distance of 292 miles (470 km) when charging.
Megane E-Tech combines the above-mentioned OpenR Link system with a cluster of 12.3-inch digital devices with a vertically oriented 12-inch information entertainment screen. The system uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs the Android Automotive operating system with Google services, including Google Assistant and Google Maps.
