Nissan Magnite facelift will launch on October 4, and carry a host of cosmetic updates that will help it with a fresher visual identity
The Nissan Magnite facelift will launch on October 4, and will feature an updated styling package. Basis our estimate, the new version will command a premium of Rs 40-50,000 across its trim lineup. The upcoming model’s new fascia was partially leaked in the NCAP crash test video of Tata Punch, and was, in fact, even teased recently. It’s noteworthy that Magnite has been a constant volume churner, and has been the only mainstream model in the Nissan India’s portfolio.
2024 Nissan Magnite Facelift Details
Some spy shots of the 2024 Nissan Magnite have thrown light on the key details of the new model. Up front, the B-SUV will carry sleeker headlamps and a wider grille. The rear-end features a large roof spoiler and a shark fin antenna, while the teaser reveals the trendier LED taillights. In the profile, the new Magnite will likely carry new alloy wheels. Inside, the new model will likely offer some more comfort- and convenience-enhancing bits. These could include a wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a sunroof, and ventilated seats.
However, from what we know, the specifications will stay the same. So, safely expect the Tata Nexon-rival to continue with its current 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated and turbo petrol engine options in the same state of tunes. While the former will continue offering an AMT, the latter will retain the CVT.
My View
The B-SUV market in our country is among the most fiercely competitive. With buyers looking for the biggest bang for their buck, the Nissan Magnite has been fairly successful with its lucrative pricing. In fact, the pricing edge it enjoys over the likes of Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza is among the biggest factors for its success. Armed with newer soft parts and more features at a marginally higher cost, the Magnite facelift will likely manage to establish an even firmer stronghold on the market.
