Hyundai Motor India reveals the official specs of the 2024 Alcazar facelift. The new model, which is slated to launch on September 9, will arrive with a gamut of additional features and new soft parts. Additionally, it will feature 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel mills, which is something that’s as per our expectation. Read on as we delve into the details –

1.5-ltr Turbo Engines for 2024 Hyundai Alcazar Facelift

The 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and Diesel engines for the new Alcazar come from the latest Creta. The petrol variant, which originally debuted with the Tucson-sourced 2.0-litre MPi mill, will now come with the carmaker’s 1.5-litre T-GDi motor. Benefitting from forced induction as well as direct injection, this engine pumps out 160 PS and 253 Nm. Transmission options for this motor include a 6-speed manual as well as a 7-speed DCT auto. The second choice is that of a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi Diesel engine that outputs 116 PS and 250 Nm. Transmission options here include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The refreshed SUV will offer multiple drive modes, viz. Normal, Eco, and Sport. There will be, in fact, even traction modes on offer. These include Snow, Mud, and Sand. Other highlights of the package include steering-mounted paddle shifters, and Idle Stop and Go.

Specs

Speaking from my experience of driving the New Hyundai Creta facelift on multiple occasions, I can vouch for the high performance as well as frugality both these 1.5-litre motors offer. Of course, between the two, it’s the turbo-petrol engine that will impress the enthusiasts, especially with that well-sorted 7-speed DCT. However, even the oil-burner is a strong performer whilst providing stellar fuel efficiency.
