Ola S1 Buyer Finds His Scooter in Waterlogged Showroom

Monsoon season brings with it bizarre circumstances each year as there is a lot of loss of life and property

In the latest occurrence, an Ola S1 buyer reached the waterlogged showroom only to find out that the entire area was submerged in water. I have reported innumerable cases of water damaging property and products. Recently, a video went viral where the stockyard of Tata Motors was seen underwater and hundreds of cars in knee-deep water. Each year, we come across such instances during the monsoon season. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest case.

Ola S1 Buyer’s Scooter is Waterlogged Showroom

This video clip stems from ss14_sanjay and universal_bloggers on Instagram. The visuals capture a rather surprising event. As per the information by the host in this video, this case emerges from somewhere in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Ola S1 buyer arrived at the dealership to take the delivery of his brand-new electric scooter. However, he is clearly disappointed after reaching the location since the entire area around the showroom, including the road, is submerged in water. It is, unfortunately, common for streets to get filled with water during monsoons in many parts of the country.

In the video, one can clearly see many two-wheelers completely immersed in water. We are barely able to see them. The man even points to where his electric scooter is parked within the showroom premises. However, it is just impossible to cross the road and enter the dealership due to heavy waterlogging. We can only hope that the vehicles don’t get damaged due to staying in the water for too long. It is really tricky to see cars and two-wheelers in the water for days since it is possible that they might’ve suffered damage.

Our View

In all honesty, I would struggle to force myself to purchase a car or a two-wheeler that has stayed underwater for this long. You would always have this in the back of your mind. In fact, even though companies claim that EVs are waterproof, long exposures to water can certainly bear a lasting impact on automobiles. This is particularly true in the modern era since most components of vehicles are electronic. I would suggest you take delivery of such two-wheelers or cars only after extensive inspection to see if everything is in order.
