Tesla owners are competing to use super chargers like playing Pokemon Go
A group of brave Tesla owners are in the middle of an ongoing race to find out which of them can go to Tesla’s supercharging stations the most. There is no end date for the competition and there is no big prize in the end. However, most of this group visited more than 1,000 stations in North America.
The best players have been to more than 1,500 supercharging stations, and their numbers are unlikely to stop growing any time soon. “You’re only winning temporarily,” said Dr. Andy Hall Wall Street Journal. “When you stop, you lose.” Despite this, the players are going out of their way to compete.
For example, Dr. Hall wanted to attend his daughter’s funeral in Washington. To do so, he left his home in Big Horn, Wayo, and traveled more than 10,000 miles in 15 days. He visited more than 80 stations along the way. According to the WSJ, he visited 1,504 stations in the United States and Canada.

Seattle had a lot of opponents – more precisely, 1620 of them. But only 1,493 of them were in North America, so there is currently controversy over who will hold the crown. No matter how you fight it, it’s a bit of a wild quest.
Not only is Tesla constantly working to open more charging stations, but also think about all the time and effort spent on this competition. Some of this energy seems to be spent by those who proclaim Tesla’s justice.
Don’t get us wrong. There are some obvious reasons to play this “charge everything” game. First, it’s a good way for Tesla’s loyal company to show how wide and wide the network is. If you have the freedom to participate and the cash, this is an interesting side quest while traveling.
To some, this may seem like a good way to show how durable cars are. But, of course, when a participant starts to change cars for this quest, this argument goes out of the way. Not everyone at the top of the dashboard seems to be trying to overtake Hansjörg von Gemmingen, who drove a Tesla Model S for nearly 1,000,000 miles.
After all, these people have the resources in terms of time and capital to spend on this particular goal. This is no different from those who spend countless hours playing video games at Gran Turismo trying to collect every car or every Pokemon available – instead of just virtual cars or fantasy creatures, they try to “capture” Tesla charging stations.
