Tata Nexon Breaks Into Two After Crashing into Tractor
We keep coming across tons of accidents where overspeeding is the sole reason for a crash
In a rather horrifying accident, a Tata Nexon ended up breaking into two parts after hitting a tractor. Witnessing such extreme crashes is, thankfully, not something all that common. But when these happen, they are generally fatal. Nexon is a 5-star safety-rated SUV from Tata Motors. In fact, it has performed exceedingly well in most road accidents in the past. However, this latest incident should remind everyone that there is no substitute for safe driving. Let us delve deep into the specifics of this case.
Tata Nexon Hits Tractor
The details of this post emerge from Nikhil Rana on YouTube. This channel often features content around unfortunate incidents and the performance of vehicles in such cases. This time around, a terrible incident is reported from Latur, Maharashtra. As per the information in the video, 3 persons were travelling in a Tata Nexon. The driver was overtaking another vehicle at very high speed. Moments after the overtake, the Nexon ended up hitting a parked tractor on the side of the road.
However, the visuals of this accident are spine-chilling. The entire side section of the compact SUV has almost disappeared. There are no signs of side pillars. Unfortunately, 2 people lost their lives in this horrendous occurrence while one person was injured severely. Looking at the car, one can’t even ascertain which car model it actually is. The reason for this is said to be high speed. In fact, the host of the video mentions that this must have taken place at speeds around 120 km/h-140 km/h. At such speeds, no amount of passive or active safety features can protect you.
Our View
I have reported innumerable instances of people getting involved in ugly accidents due to overspeeding. It remains the single most common reason for fatal crashes in the country. It is high time we start following traffic regulations. No amount of safety equipment can protect us if were are not driving under the speed limits. Let us pledge to be responsible road users and encourage everyone around us to adhere to the rules vehemently. Also, if you see anyone flouting traffic protocols and endangering the lives of other road users, make sure to report them to the authorities so that appropriate action can be taken against them.
