Tata CURVV is gearing up for launch on August 7 in electric guise first, followed by petrol and diesel in the following weeks.
In a viral video, the upcoming Tata CURVV coupe SUV was spotted hanging from a crane during a TVC shoot somewhere in Gurugram. It is common for soon-to-be-launched vehicles to feature in television commercials. However, we don’t often see the actual shoot. We just end up watching the final product in the form of an advertisement on television. That is what makes this latest instance so unique and interesting. CURVV will rival the likes of the mighty Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara in its ICE variant.
Tata CURVV TVC Shoot
The details of this post arrive from gaurav_7827 on Instagram. The visuals showcase the coupe SUV hanging in the air via a crane. In fact, the entire assembly seems secure with the vehicle using four anchorages to remain relatively stable. There are some people who are holding the vehicle in place to prevent it from rotating about its own axis. The SUV hanging via the crane is the electric version, while the ICE model is also parked in the vicinity. Therefore, we will soon see the official TVC of these SUVs on our television screens.
The coupe SUV will be among those rare cars which will offer a petrol, diesel and electric trim. However, it is common in Tata Motors’ parlance. The Nexon is one such car which is available in all these avatars. In fact, the likes of the Tiago, Tigor and Punch also come in petrol and electric guises. Tata Motors is surely one company which is maximizing its appeal by offering the same car with varied powertrains. That also allows a wider range of customers to have access to a car model irrespective of their desires. The CURVV will possess a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, a 1.2-litre direct injection turbo petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo diesel or an electric powertrain. In the ICE versions, it will have manual and automatic transmissions on offer.
Our View
The coupe silhouette is something we have only seen exclusively on the high-end premium luxury cars until now. That is what Tata Motors aims to democratize. At present, there is no coupe SUV in India at this price point. Hence, this will give the buyers an option to purchase and own a vehicle with an unparalleled road presence and demeanour. In addition, even the interior will possess all sorts of modern amenities and the latest tech features to pamper the occupants. We just have to wait a few more days to experience the Tata CURVV in the flesh.
